My one issue is this:

Title of forum: First Adopter Forum - where early adopters discuss great stuff first

The game was released in November!

Other than that, nice article and I would have to agree.

Just as a counterpoint...Kill cam is the worst idea ever. I'm more of a dumbass Rambo, charge in there and attempt to kill everything that moves style player myself, but if I was a camping style player this would piss me off to no end. You go to the trouble of finding a nice, difficult to spot killing location and this great feature instantly gives your location away to every clueless newbie who couldn't find his own ass in a dark room. I'm sorry but if someone is so inept that they continue to walk right into certain death time and time again....they deserve it.

Another reason I dislike multiplayer in the game is the horrid accuracy of the weapons. They just flat out don't hit "the mark" with any reasonable degree of consistancy in MP mode, although they seem fine in single player.

Call of Duty was good but overall I felt it was slightly inferior to both RTCW and MOHAA.

I preferred the mission design and vehicles in MOHAA while the gun design and story was better in RTCW. Also I preferred MOHAA's graphics and artwork overall to COD's although when COD peaked (eg the rippling water in the dam mission) it was better than either game. In addition I felt mounted guns were much better in RTCW and MOHAA as in COD they were both extremely slow to aim and I couldn't see a thing when I fired them.

At times COD was more intense than the other two games but it also had a few "filler" levels that didn't do anything more than connect major parts of the battlefield together via a simple and uneventful section.

Overall COD was excellent but it didn't quite reach the lofty heights of MOHAA and RTCW. I'd give it 9/10 while the other two games get 10/10.

Although I think COD single player is superb, I'm not a fan of the multiplayer either. The fact that there are zero anti-cheat measures in COD multiplayer also doesnt help. I'll stick to RTCW Enemy Territory.

i like kill cams, makes sure people can't use the same tricks over and over. also allows one to learn how to play different levels, different tricks quickly. no wtf how the #%@ did i die bullsh*t.

as for single play, it was awesome, the computer characters u play with are pretty cool, and its the most immersive ww2 game i've played ever. the russian level was striaght from enemy at the gate no stupid door hunting bullsh*t, no key hunting bullsh*t, that shortens the game, but reallly.. does that key hunting, trying every door bs count as quality time? heh

interface? thats a new one, shooting from behind the gun, and done in a way that works smoothly.

graphics arne't bad either, looked better then any mohaa or expansion, as well it should have. i didn't even recognize it as a quake engine game, much of the time u can sorta tell. and yes, it ran like butter. quite nice. level design just felt right, the towns and rubble just looked right. not photo realistic, but believable. lots and lots of attention to detail, its polished. and sound, great sound. the game simply blows mohaa, and esp rtcw out of the water.
