Review of the Habu

after looking at the extra side panel.. it looks like it has different button placement than the original one.. I think the fuction you said only works with software installed

And after a few hours of working with the mouse, I got the software working! The firmware makes the sensor track faster, and the software lets you turn off the glow pipe and scrool wheel lights. If you follow the instructions(which I never seem to do... ) it will work... so happy hunting

I've had my Habu for about two weeks, and had NO problems installing the firmware or drivers, and I love it! The buttons for switching DPI rock in BF2 for lining up long shots.

ok mr. patato, we have to install the FW and SW to get the Habu work right? Can you tell us the version that make your habu work?

but... how could they forgot the right side button. I'm right-handed but i like the right side button feature. i'm still using my aging intellimouse optical.

Yes that's the firmware and software that will work with the Habu. Sorry I couldn't respond, lots of stuff going on in my life right now

Ok, I just did a little bit of a mod to my Habu. When you open your mouse to change the thumb buttons, there's some extra room at the back wall. Put some blu-tak or something simaler to blu-tak on the back wall, and then find something to stick onto the blu-tak and adjust the weight accordingly

bringing up old thread. Just got this mouse.

I have vista. I plugged it in. and instantly it worked! dpi has 3 settings.

Any reason to update firmware and install razor software if this is everything i need. exactly like mx518 i retired and gave to my brother.

the only reason i would upgrade is if I can program the two DPI adjustment buttons to do other things, like mouse 6 and 7 buttons for games.
