A man got up in the middle of the night and went to the toilet. When he'd finished what he was there for, he flushed the toilet, turned off the light, and went back to bed. When he awoke in the morning, he listened to the radio and promptly committed suicide. Why did he commit suicide?

He is a lighthouse keeper and turned off the lighthouse light... He hears of a ship wreck on the radio.

A man and a woman were driving in their car when it broke down. The man decided to go for help at a gas station a few miles back. He made sure nobody was in the car, rolled all the windows up, and locked all of the sedan's doors. He went off, but when he came back, his wife was dead, and there was a stranger in the car. No physical damage was done to the car, so how did the stranger get in?

He didn't shut to doors.

Or there was a sunroof open.

I have returned!

The stranger was already "there" before the man went for help, right dnetmhz? If so, I think I know it, but won't give away the answer.

When the day after tomorrow is yesterday, today will be as far from Wednesday as today was from Wednesday when the day before yesterday was tomorrow. What is the day after this day?

The rope is tied off between the horse and the hay.

That's not the answer I was given, but that is what I first thought also and it works

The two accepted solutions are that the rope is tied between them like you stand (not to each other as some incorrectly argue, but say to a wall...that gives the horse a 30' range of movement) and that the horse is tied to a rope that came loose or that is not tied to anything else.

I think the wanted answer is the first one. (testing geometry skills and what not)
