Good morning all.. I see this thread is still hanging around.. I guess I'll find another riddle.. hang on.
<edit>
Ok, this one should be good for a few headaches :evil:
A customer at a 7-11 store selected four items to buy, and was told that the cost was $7.11. He was curious that the cost was the same as the store name, so he enquired as to how the figure was derived. The clerk said that he had simply multiplied the prices of the four individual items. The customer protested that the four prices should have been ADDED, not MULTIPLIED. The clerk said that that was OK with him, but, the result was still the same: exactly $7.11. What were the four prices?

Ok, I want to know if this is a math problem or a wierd logic problem before i go to the car and get my ti-89.
So far i have
x^4 = 4x
x^4 - 4x = 0
x(x^3-4) = 0
x^3 - 4 = 0
x^3 = 4
x = cubed root of 4.
possibly a submarine situation? oh, wait... is frank a dead fish?Originally posted by: Goth
Here's an oldie, but goodie:
There is a room with a table inside. The window is open. There is some water on the floor. Frank is on the floor, dead.
How did Frank die?
I've heard two possible solutions for this one. There might be more, so take some guesses. If you already know it or find it via Google, don't answer yet and let people guess.

I was thinking maybe a salvaged boat with a dead guy in it, but frank has to be a fish. does it really matter how he died? did the wind knock his bowl over?Originally posted by: Goth

Hmm, please explain the open window on a submarine theory, please
If Frank is a fish, how did he die?

Are they dogs, boxer breed? It's a longshot, but as a former owner of a boxer, the term "boxer" rang a bell.Originally posted by: Spooner
