Thats subjective.. I didn't find her funny.. she just came off as a bitch. She was on trumps show at least.
However she was obviously a smart and strong woman to get to where she got in life. Her daughter however...
This site says shes a republican?
http://www.hollywoodrepublican.net/who-is-a-republican/
From her wiki page
"In 2002, Rivers told the Montreal Mirror that she was a Republican.[59] However, on a 2013 episode of Celebrity Wife Swap, Rivers stated that she was a Democrat. Then, on January 28, 2014, during a conversation with Reza Farahan, she announced that she was in fact a Republican."
Maybe she was multi personality?
maybe she was just fucking with people that seem to think such questions matter?
How could that question not matter? The whole entire sum of a person's worth is what political football team they root for! It has to be either "Us" or "Them". How can I know what to like if it's not simple? I don't have time to form opinions based upon my own feelings..
Have you given any thought to perhaps picketing her funeral?Meh.. 1 less nut job republican
Neither was iconic in my life. In fact, I don't know that I've ever seen a Robin Williams movie, however I have put several on hold from my library. Williams left a legacy of work. Is there anything for Joan Rivers, DVD's?Sucks
World so much less funny without her and Robin Williams.
Losing both in less than a month is awful especially when they should still be with us.
I protest! She's not dead!Have you given any thought to perhaps picketing her funeral?
This probably doesn't matter, but I guessing she actually died the day of the surgery/procedure.
Her heart stopped and she stopped breathing.
Probably brain dead from that.
ICU put her on life support.
The realization set in that she was in fact brain dead and in a vegetated state.
Her doctors and family made the decision to remove her from life support.
Possibly Joan had a living will stating not to keep her on life support?
She was moved to a private room to prepare for the removal of life support.
Friends and family said their final good byes.
Life support was removed and she passed away.
That is what I believe really happened going by the course of events from what we know.
If she had been in a hospital during the procedure or surgery, they could have probably helped her immediately.
But in a clinic, I doubt they were able to catch this in time.
When she was transferred to a hospital, she most likely was already brain dead from heart failure and lack of oxygen.
That would explain the life support, the decision for removal from ICU care, and her death soon after.
I fully expect a lawsuit from the family against the clinic.
Probably as soon as next week.
And if this goes to trial, only then will the public know the facts.
Whatever she was having done at the clinic should have only been done in a hospital.
No doubt this happens quite often in clinics performing medical procedures.
But when it happens to a celebrity, it is a wake-up call. Or should be.
Especially to every aging celebrity.
Appearance and illusion of youth goes with the territory.
Joan should have easily lived well into her 90's and kept us laughing many more years.
I see a lawsuit.
As an anesthesiologist, Im curious to hear exactly what happened during the procedure

On growing up:
- I was so ugly that they sent my picture to Ripley's Believe It or Not and he sent it back and said, "I don't believe it."
- My mother never told me a thing. I asked my mother, "Where am I from? She gave me a fake address in Cleveland."
- I knew I was an unwanted baby when I saw that my bath toys were a toaster and a radio.
- I was so flat, I used to put Xs on my chest and write, "You are here."
On home life:
- I hate housework. You make the beds, you do the dishes, and six months later, you have to start all over again.
- I told my mother-in-law that my house was her house, and she said, "Get off my property."
- Grandchildren can be annoying -- how many times can you go: "And the cow goes moo and the pig goes oink"? It's like talking to a supermodel.
On her love life:
- I was dating a transvestite, and my mother said, "Marry him, you'll double your wardrobe."
- All my mother told me about sex was that the man goes on top and the woman on the bottom. For three years my husband and I slept in bunk beds.
- Peeping Toms look at my window and pull down the shade.
- I have no sex appeal -- if my husband didn't toss and turn, we'd never have had the kid.
- My best birth control now is to just leave the lights on.
- My sex life is so bad, my G-spot has been declared a historical landmark.
- I got a waterbed, but my husband stocked it with trout.
- My love life is like a piece of Swiss cheese: most of it's missing, and what's there stinks.
On aging and plastic surgery:
- Looking 50 is great -- if you're 60.
- When a man has a birthday, he takes a day off. When a woman has a birthday, she takes at least three years off.
- My breasts are so low, now I can have a mammogram and a pedicure at the same time.
- I've had so much plastic surgery, when I die, they will donate my body to Tupperware.
- I wish I had a twin, so I could know what I'd look like without plastic surgery.
On reputations and stereotypes:
- A man can sleep around, no questions asked. But if a woman makes 19 or 20 mistakes, she's a tramp.
- It was a Jewish porno film: One minute of sex and nine minutes of guilt.
- I spit on education. No man is ever going to put his hand up your dress looking for a library card. (Note: Rivers went to Barnard, the women's college affiliated with Columbia, and was extremely well-read.)
On death:
- My husband killed himself. And it was my fault. We were making love and I took the bag off my head.
- At my funeral, I want Meryl Streep crying in five different accents.
Im curious to hear what exactly she was having done and what exactly happened. There is a large push by insurance companies to have all minor procedures done in clinics and offices since they dont have to pay as much as when things are done in a hospital.
Have you given any thought to perhaps picketing her funeral?
As an anesthesiologist do you think an 81 year old should be having any kind of surgical procedure that requires mild to heavy sedation outside of a hospital setting?
That's what I'm wondering - I would assume there was a dedicated anesthesiologist.
Are clinics not required to have one when someone is put under?
