I was worried when they took her out of ICU it wasn't because she was getting better.
It was to let her family and friends have their final goodbye.
I suspect as with Michael Jackson, some doctor screwed up big time once again.
Probably the anesthesiologist.

I saw her live a couple months ago... thought she was funny as hell, although the 2 drink minimum at the club probably helped.

I don't think she gets enough credit as a comedian, or at least her stand-up bits. She was a pioneer for women in comedy, and really pushed the boundaries - took shit from no one and if you heckled her, watch out. HBO did a documentary about her, and it really went to show her relentless work ethic and how much she loved what she did.

1. You do know that not all Republicans are bible thumping, anti-gay, bigots. Libertarians tend to identify with the party's stance on free market and smaller government.

2. Who gives a shit what her politics were. She was one of the most influential comics of our time. She basically paved the way for women in standup.

I just watched my first episode of Joan and Melissa, Joan Knows Best. Seems as though Joan's daughter has been actively fighting these elective plastic surgeries based on her mom's age. The show is probably scripted, yet I bet there's some truth to it.

Eerie watching this episode now, as it mirrors everything to date except for Joan's unfortunate death. They even discuss the possibility of Joan dying while under anesthesia.
