Shame the actual pics wont load.

I HATE in page image viewers. They're too damn slow and they dont always work right. Is it really so bad to link directly to an image and let my web browser display the thing the way it was intended?

I wont be buying this just yet. Maybe when I see a big package with all the planes.

First time hearing about this. Wow. I used to be big into flight sims and I've got a couple RC WWI aircraft I fly all the time. It's been a long time since a WWI flight simulator was released. System requirements look pretty high though. DLC is vary expensive too but then again I've been used to getting it for free on Microsoft's sims. Plus the DRM issue. Nope, sorry, I only buy DRM free/passive DRM games now. Release this on Playstation 3 then we'll talk. I'll be getting the next IL2 instead.

Yup, I agree, the DRM issue sounds bad. Can't play the game at all due to server issues???
I really like the concept, but may not buy it now... I live in Japan and it may be difficult to order, and with th eserver issues... hmmm. I'll hold back from buying this at least...

I see they are working on more plane choices so that is a good sign. Not sure if they fixed those server issues or not. I was watching some youtube vids the other day of some people using TrackIR and three monitor set ups. Looks good. I havent taken the plunge yet. I may wait a while and give them a chance to add more content. Graphically it looks really good.

Hi Dubs,

Currently, ROF is having some teething issues with servers behind routers. There are servers up that have external IP addresses, but they are limited in number.

The maximum player limit is unknown at this time really. We've seen 12 vs. 12 servers out there so far, I suspect maximum players will depend on how strong the server computer is.

ROF is "mission-based" even in the multiplayer arena. If the mission creator puts ground targets in his mission, then there will tanks and vehicles and such for you to strafe.

If your main focus with ROF will be multiplayer, then perhaps it would be purdent to follow the message boards and watch for sucessful multiplayer threads to start appearing. Balance that with your patience if it is not fully-functional, and let that help you decide to purchase Rise of Flight.

Ah, what ever happed to the flight sim on PC. Oh well, at least Birds of Prey is pretty decent, at least based on the demo.
