An Arabic motorist got a shock when he went to get his car after shelling in the Libyan city of Benghazi, and found this live mortar shell wedged in the bodywork.

Fierce fighting between the Libyan army and fighters belonging to armed groups in the city of Benghazi left hundreds dead in recent weeks. This fighting is part of a wider conflict in the North African state where former rebels who helped oust the former leader Muammar Gaddafi in 2011 are fighting for power and a share of Libya's large oil revenues.
