- A small piece of info about Rosetta by David Baker:
He was asked "How many credits or work units is it expected to take?" meaning how long Rosetta will run before the main goal is achieved.
David Baker answered: "There are many goals we are working towards (see the introduction section of the web page), and as we accomplish these new challenges will take their place. Rosetta@home I expect to continue (and hopefully continue to grow) for many years to come. For the problem we are focusing on now -protein structure prediction- we may need one to two orders of magnitude more credits than what we have used currently. But we won't really know how much is necessary until we have solved the problem."
I guess this project will be around for a long time and is here to stay :beer:
