I feel bad for you. RTCW Multiplayer rocks majorly! Maybe you need more memory or updated drivers? On WinXP, I had some hard drive thrashing with 256MB. I upgraded to 512MB, and the game runs smooth as silk.

tk149 is correct! I haven't put this game, Multiplayer, down since it came out in Nov of 2001. I haven't even finished the single player because I've played MP the whole time. I'll keep this for when I can't access the net.

While your at gogame.com, check out Postal2 previews. You can download them, I think there are 3 different ones. This game is way over the top! I don't think it will be sold in stores!

Although these may all be gone, I picked up a copy of RTCW for $9.99 from my local Circuit City a week or so ago. (They've been clearing out all of their "big box" PC games for super low prices.)

So that might be worth checking in order to save the gogamer shipping charges.

But it's an excellent deal either way!

I may get generals but what difference does it make that the 34.95 one is an import? I see that it's in a dvd case which I don't care about, but is the software the same?

The only thing different between the import and the regular software is the case that it comes in. I've bought several other "import" titles from them before and they had everything inside them that I needed.

BIG QUESTION:

Has anyone played both UT2k3 and RtCW extensively? I want to know if it's worth getting into a year old game or starting to get good at a brand new one. Really I'd like to know how does RtCW compare to any modern FPS?

I always try to buy one year old games...

First off they are cheap (than when they just came out so you save)

Next, you don't have to upgrade to the newest video card each time (since you use the vid card longer you save)

RTCW has a great single player....really fun....get it!

I think the original price is $18.90... it is hard to read though.
