In order to keep Russia’s attention, they had to give ground. They didn’t have to give up much, but just a little here and a little there kept the Russians coming back for more “success”.

The public criticism itself might have been a ploy by allies to make Russia feel that Ukraine was making a mistake in defending Bakhmut. I can't say I blame them. The mullahs likely do not believe in the shit they sell to their people. Capitalism above all else and cash is king baby. British and American warships confiscating Iranian materials almost seems like a coordinated effort between the west and Iran, iran selling russians their wares but also selling or sending their wares to overseas only to be confiscated at a predetermined location to give or sell to ukraine. I've no doubt there is something like that being done behind the scenes. After all Russia was not keen on Iran going through with the nuclear peace accords. 10 years ago we thought Russia wouldn't tank t, a few years ago we found they didn't want it and feared it. no one questioned the strong drawback of attacks on Iranian scientists and infra by Israel and her proxies once the Ukraine war popped off? that region and much of the mena relies on real politik while we in the west are for justice and moral and ethics. My theory is the Russians are taking the bait knowingly and letting them be encircled and then the russian brass will rain hellfire on everyone including their own as a major clean up job.
