This will make prices of gas go up and end up hurting energy importing countries, mainly in Europe. Thanks America, you are de-industrialzing Europe and many people are aware of this. What a great friend and ally!

I think eventually the Germans will wake up and realize that the Nordstream pipeline was blown up so stop the cooperation between Germany and Russia. I wonder which country with a big energy sector could do such a horrible thing!

Thank you America for weakening Europe.
Americas fault? I guess you forgot who invaded whom.

Can you name anything you would consider Russia’s fault and not America’s?

I guess we should help Ukraine win this war then, right? Once Russia is out of their country they won’t be blowing up their infrastructure.

Well, there appears to have been something ....

US Embassy Warned Americans to Avoid Moscow Concerts Weeks Before Attacks

The U.S. Embassy in Moscow warned earlier in March that "extremists" planned to target large gatherings.

And it was dismissed as blackmail, somehow, just America trying to foment chaos upon the perpetual victim Russia. Now they're asking for everything we know about what we heard. haha There's dead KGB rolling over in their graves right now. How many clowns from the FSB will be paying a visit to Lefortovo over this? This kinda kicks Putin's post theater bliss directly in the nuts. I imagine he's not happy. Embarrassing stuff for a tough guy who sells himself as in charge. Coup attempts, civil war, can't even maintain security in the capitol, it's pretty hilarious really. Once their oil industry finishes dying it is all over. Nice to see them remember that terrorism is bad, I seem to have misplaced my quantum violin though. Apologies.

I was actually thinking it was a Chechen/Ingush splinter group. What Russia did to muslims in Grozny, Aleppo; the kind of hate those acts create isn't known to evaporate much. If we had found out it was Ukraine we would have told them to knock it off, leave war crimes and terrorism to the Russians.

US Embassies care more about average Chinese and Russians than their respective regimes do, I love it. That persistent undermining of state credibility drives the CCP and Kremlin absolutely bananas. Makes me smile.

Thank you America for weakening Europe.

Europe weakened itself after the Soviet Union crumbled and the West won the Cold War.

Then it's poorest country stood up to a "superpower" and halted it's agenda of conquest and genocide.

Now (almost) the entire continent is building it's strength back at varying rates, with NATO never being this unified or powerful thanks to Russia compelling Finland and Sweden to join. France just went into a war economy, is ready to send troops. Look at Poland FFS, they could probably make the Kremlin a hole on their own at this point. Yep, just reeks of weakness, sure.

No, thank you. Much obliged.

Shorty's got two more of these remember

The Nordstream pipes 1 and 2 were not transporting gas when they were sabotaged as a result of Russia invading Ukraine, if you recall.

Further, it has been said before, by the military command in Ukraine, that wholly symmetrical warfare is beneficial only for Russia. So strikes on critical infrastructure in Russia are logical and sound targets. "Gas prices will.." well Europe has mainly tried to wean off Russian dependency since the invasion and gas prices will do what they want; what should be somewhat worrying to a Euro is a Russia gearing toward Total War, no?

Your intel agencies are in fact efficient, duly informed us, and subsequently accurately identified the perpetrators thus its your fault pretty well illustrates the massive fucking migraine passing for a people and state that is Russia.

The whole concept of negotiating with these people is farcical. The only conversation to be conducted that they comprehend is voiced by howitzer barrels so we should just meet them where they are.

They put the cult in 'cult of personality' for sure, very maga-esque. Never ceases to amaze me what fascists will say to justify supporting lunacy. The relaxed manner in which they toss logic and common sense out the window to cling to a lazy bullshit narrative. It's kind of impressive in a 'Grab the DSMV' kinda way. The land of vodka and vranyo never disappoints.

Makes me think back to when Alexander Litvinenko alerted Putin about a plot on his life, and Putin expressed his thanks with death by polonium. That's Russian gratitude for ya.

Couldn't agree more wrt the negotiating. At this point negotiation is only relevant for short term things, prisoner exchanges for instance. Putin's regime has no credibility, that's what it boils down to. The orcs just have to die, or leave. Back to Mordor, back to your shithole please.

I recall it was the Russians who advanced upon and tried to attack our position in Syria during our mission against ISIS.
It was then that Russia first learned what HIMAR stood for. As they fled in pieces.

I figure the way out of the madness that is Russia right now is guerilla insurrection on a scale that brings the regime to its knees. What else???

I made a comment a few weeks ago, the west would still provide aid if a natural disaster happens in Russia. I change my mind. Just let them burn

If these refinery attacks keep up apace at some point they lose the ability to export meaningful quantities of oil. Once the money starts to dry up there go the trains and jets. Then we see a sort of regionalism develop where there competition for foreign business and support. In that kind of climate I see a chance of Putin getting removed, especially if he goes nuclear. Once he's out of the picture perhaps massive protests give Russia another shot at democracy, like they had in the 90s. There will have to be a confrontation with the Putinists/siloviki though, and the Rosgvardia behind them. Those that benefit from Putin's system of theft and opulence aren't going to give it up without a fight. They can't hide in Europe anymore either.

I'd love to see the current insurrection down in Belgorod develop into something larger and more widespread, but it feels like it might be too early for that. I suspect this push will end like the first one. Russia finally shows up enough and the other side fades away. I hope I'm wrong. Would be great to see a gigantic uprising against Putin, for Russia to someday have a shot at a real democracy. Not the sick joke they have now, where the war criminal in charge just robs them in perpetuity, lusting to redraw borders in Europe at gunpoint.

Hey, at least the FSB is full of prideful morons these days. It bodes well for the West they are no KGB.

No. They could in theory export all the oil they do not refine but in reality they cannot as they do not posess the capacity, because the sanctions on oil really started working

Also....

Nice... So nice... Living in such a society, must be a bliss

The world will now turn to China to provide peace to the world. The global south and many other countries are looking to China for leadership because America is a very aggressive and violent country, not to be trusted. And American foreign policy is a total disaster, anywhere it goes.

Since China brought Shia Iran and Sunni Saudi Arabia together in the Middle East, after decades of bad relationship, maybe it can bring peace to other parts of the world also - such as Ukraine/Russia. The Chinese are open minded and want to negotiate, unlike the warmongers America and its European puppets.

"Russia and Ukraine both believe the conflict will end through negotiations, China's special envoy for Eurasian affairs said on Friday, even though the warring states view the prospect of peace talks very differently and are adamant in their positions.
Li Hui warned diplomats and reporters on his latest round of shuttle diplomacy to Moscow, Kyiv and several European capitals that the war risks escalating further.

"All sides insist on their own positions and there is a relatively big gap in their understanding of peace talks... but all agree that negotiations, rather than guns, will ultimately end this war," Li said.

He said China wishes for an international peace conference recognised by both Russia and Ukraine, with both participating equally. Switzerland plans to host a peace conference this year, which Moscow said is doomed to fail without its participation.

"What I must emphasise is that the Chinese side is not in favour of one side over the other, and only wants to make sure the meeting is a success," Li said.
"As you can see, the intention of the Chinese side is very clear: to facilitate an early political settlement of this crisis," he added.
Li told reporters that China stood "with open arms" to accept anything conducive to de-escalation and negotiation.

"In the future, China will continue to play a unique role and contribute 'Chinese wisdom'", he said. Reuters article.

This is what is needed - the Ukrainians and Russians must sit down and negotiate to end this war. I hope the Chinese resolve this and hopefully they will leave the Americans and their European little puppets out of these negotiations. The Americans in particular must not be let near these negotiations because they will try to stop them.

China is emerging as the voice of reason and that's why much of the world is looking towards it for leadership.

From Al_Jazzera
"The Lithuanian culture minister Simonas Kairys was put on a wanted list by russia with others for allowing of the disassembly of WWII memorials to Soviet soldiers. He responded, “I’m glad that my work in dismantling the ruins of Sovietisation has not gone unnoticed”.
If russia wasn't being such a terrorist state, I'm sure those statues would be fine just where they were for the past 70 years, or they would have gladly and carefully removed them and gave them to them. They had Europe heroin addicted to russian branded oil and blew that. Nobody is more a threat to russians than their own government."

There's been a general misunderstanding of what these refineries do. They take crude oil and refine them into usable products. What Russia exports is mostly crude oil and natural gas. With these refineries down, Russia will be lacking the finished products. So they will have to export more oil and import the refined products.

That's not how humans function.
It will be pure anarchy and tribal terrorism, or military dictatorship.
These people are not primed for anything we can call a Democracy.
