Should i get X370 or B350 for my board?

Here`s the list i got

MSI X370 GAMING M7 ACK ASUS CROSSHAIR VI HERO ASrock X370 Taichi

MSI B350 GAMING PLUS ASUS STRIX B350-F GAMING ASrock B350 GAMING K4

It depends on whether you need/plan to use any of the extra X370 features. Do you need dual GPU support, for example?

I went with a B350 because it was quite a bit cheaper and I didn't need the X370 features. I've used multi-gpu in the past, and I'll never do it again unless support gets a whole lot better.

The savings should be enough to buy better RAM (e.g. DDR4-3200 CL14) which will give an actual performance benefit.

Big key differences.
1. Overclocking, general overclocking is fine on the B350, but in the end the best VRM configurations are on X370 setups.
2. Sata, less Sata ports are given to the chipset. How many hard drives?
3. USB3. I haven't looked at how it's handed out in a while but I remember USB3 and specifically 3.1 solutions being different between the chipsets.
4. Features. This isn't for the chipsets but the boards that are built with them. More features you want the less likely you will find a board running a B350 with them. Like do you need wifi? Do you need more than one NIC? Do you need a second M.2 slot? Need a U.2 Connector? How much does the sound options matter? What about front port USB 3.1?

An example is my Taichi not only a fairly priced X370 board but the only one with a second M.2 and more than 8 Sata connectors.
