Safari issue with Gmail?

Maybe I'm hallucinating, but I could have sworn if I had Gmail open in a Safari tab it would show my unread message count next to Gmail. I'm actually positive it was there earlier, I reboot and load gmail, and now it just says Gmail. Anyone here running SL and mind telling me what theirs does? thanks


*edit* I rebooted and it came back, this is like the 2nd time I noticed it gone, did the same thing a few days ago. Is this an issue with Safari with Gmail or am I just unlucky?

*2nd edit* it's gone again, I guess it's a bug, or maybe just my luck

I have it in the quick launch bar, not sure what it's called, I named it Gmail, I just opened it in a new tab and it just says Gmail so there's plenty of room. Right now it's not showing how many unread messages I have. If I exit and reload, or reboot. It might, or might not show up.

The quick launch bar is part of your bookmarks. It uses the bookmarks title in the tab which is why you are not getting the count of unread messages. Try typing gmail.com in directly without using a bookmark and see if it works correctly.

BrianP that worked, I guess I can't have a quick launch + get a indication in my tab when I get new emails unless I type it in manually. Kind of sucks, but not too bad of a work around I guess. I could see if Firefox does it, I know on Windows it works fine.
