I don't have Crucial RAM specifically, but I have run Micron RAM(Same chips as Crucial but maybe a bit lower in quality) at higher than 166 with the memory timing at the most aggressive that I could set them to. I am running an Epox 8KHA+ for a mobo. I think that I got up to 170ish before I started to see instability.
The big trick is to turn up the voltage to your RAM as you start to see instability. I won't personally run the voltage any higher than 2.9 (2.5 is stock and 2.6 is default on most mobo BIOSes). There are comments and articles out there that say that 3.0 is fine and those that say that it is bad to go to that or higher. My suggestion would be that if you want to try going past 166(333), that you invest in some heat spreaders for your RAM. Thermaltake makes a decent kit.
Straight up, 166(333) should be no problem for the Crucial brand RAM. Micron reserves the best chips from the factory for that brand of RAM.
Play safe and have fun!!!!
