Whichever one is closest and involves the least amount of driving and traffic to get to. In our case Costco wins.

I have heard it described as Sam's carries bulk cheap items and Costco carries bulk items, some cheap some not. So from a money perspective Sam's is better but from a brand perspective Costco is better.

I had both costco and sams. The prices seem about the same but Costco has much better quality.

They have the same stuff at the same prices, but Sam's return policy>Costco's

Costco no longer has the no questions asked lifetime return policy, but Sam's does. Though you can only return computers 6 months out, and TVs 2 years out.

so basically Costco is great for people that aren't douchebags.

 (although I did buy my xbox 360 there on purpose because they offer a lifetime warranty on video game consoles should it break, which it very well may!)

Sam's Club > Costco for me.
1. It's closer to me.
2. The line for gas is shorter.
3. Sam's Club sells Aquafina. Costco has some nasty ass Deer Park or some other asswater.
4. Fruits(bananas and strawberries in particular) are consistently cheaper at Sam's.
5. I can find more office/shop supplies at Sam's.

Having said that I like shopping at Costco, too. I like their frozen food selection and the kitty litter Costco sells clumps better. I'd say it's worth having both memberships. Seems kinda silly that I spend $90/yr to shop at those 2 stores now...

Uh, Deer Park = spring water. Aquafina = purified tapwater, AKA purified asswater. Your argument is made of fail.

I don't really care where the water comes from.
The fact is that Deer Park tastes horrible and Aquafina tastes good.

But regardless of the bottled water selection,
Costco >>>> Sam's Club.

Whoever said Sam's Club's food court is better must be on crack.
Costco hot dogs and pizza are ten times as good as Sam's hot dogs and pizza.

I think you care more than you realize. If you did a blind taste test between Deer Park and some other waters, I bet you wouldn't be able to consistently pick out the Deer Park.

I have had meat, veggies and "generic" items from both. didnt notice a diffrence. the meat was still very good (not as good as from my local butcher but far better then walmart) same with the veggies.

and most of the "generics" are just reboxed name brands. just put in diffrent named box's for diffrent stores.
