So I replaced my older Intel SSD with a new Samsung 840 Pro (128 GB) yesterday. I did a fresh install and things went fine, and it ran stable. I left it running overnight and it ran fine this morning. I shut it down this afternoon to install a new HDD in place of the existing photo/back up drive. Fired it back up and
nothing! Got a message to choose a bootable drive or install media to boot from. Checked the BIOS and everything reported correctly; all drives accurately identified and correct boot order. Boot with recovery disk would not recognize the drive to restore it from the image either. Put the old SSD back in and it booted right up and recognized the HDD with no issues. Put the Samsung back in and same deal. So has this thing bricked itself in less than 24 hours?
