So if you have an AT&T i777 SGS2 there is a way to use a mostly functional ICS for the device. The only issue is that the regular capacitive buttons don't work 100%, but you can utilize onscreen buttons Nexus-style instead.
You need clockwork on the device. First of all, you need to nandroid backup. Please.
Second wipe /system /data /cache
Then flash this ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1451346
Then before reboot flash this kernel:
http://goo-inside.me/devs/task650/i777-ICS-Kernel.zip
Then reboot.
When you reboot the buttons don't work. So restart the device (I used the toggle in the notification area) into clockwork and flash this package to add buttons onscreen:

Don't get cute and do it the same time as the other two. Be sure to have one boot into the OS and then back to clockwork before you flash that buttons package.
Last thing, put this phone apk into /system/app using Root Explorer or something like that:

Change owner (root, root) and set permissions (rw-r--r--)!
Then you should have an almost ASOP ICS that runs very well. The buttons will get fixed when the source code from Samsung for the i9100 is released but until then at least it gives us i777 users something to play with.
Unlike most people, im not all that anxious for ICS. Dont get me wrong i want it, but not until its stable on our phone.
Im running Iscrewed and its freaking awesome. Runs smoother than CM7 for me (expecially the browser for some reason). Looks and feel close to ICS. Super fast. What am i missing that ICS offers? (running ICS on my captivate btw. pretty funny that my old 2 year SGS1 gets ICS before my new SGS2 )
