Keep dreaming.
And even if exynos hardware suddenly makes a huge leap from pos hardware used to scam 3rd world people into a processing and graphical match for the snapdragon, what will you do about the lag and stutter of Touchwiz? Did you forget that exynos has no custom roms and it never will? The developers said so.
Amusing post on many levels:
- Anyone who's used mobile phones for more than 2 years know how quickly things can change. Exynos SOCs used to be superior and even up to the Note 2, was a very competitive chip. Then Qualcomm had 2 years in the sun with their Krait cores and for sure, the Exynos SOC wasn't as good. But starting last fall with the 5433 in the Note 4, it's been as good if not superior. Note 4 Exynos users seem quite satisfied and there's been a bunch of posts even here on Anandtech. The 7420 looks substantially better.
There's no reason to be loyal to any particular company - these switches and ups and downs are normal. The S810 is simply not a great SOC for its generation and looks to be outclassed by this gen's 7420. This could very well change with QC's custom cores coming out EOY/early 2016.
- Congrats on then moving the goalposts. Criticism of TW is warranted, though it's more true on some phones than others. However regardless of SOC, the version of TW is going to be the same. The Note 4 skin isn't bad, Lollipop updates on international Samsung phones have shown performance and battery increases, and the S6 is supposed to take it much further. So let's see how TW is on the S6.
Basically QC deserves to be criticised as they're under performing at the high end this year. But only a fool would count them out - I except their custom core SOC to be very good, if not class leading.
