Agreed, that is an amazing cop. My point earlier was that one should not be an asshole and expect the world to work around you. Some, like this very calm, professional officer, will do so. Others, like Encinia, may be assholes themselves. Assholes with badges, clubs, guns, TASERs, pepper spray, and badges. Did I mention badges? Or maybe just good cops who have already suffered their daily limit of assholes, who knows? Not if the gander is the one we collectively arm so that we don't all have to go armed.I'm not talking about getting shot by a criminal. I'm talking about getting shot just because the cop has a bad attitude. And a lot of people not caring, because cops are just getting what they deserve. Hey, if they didn't want to get shot by a random citizen, they should just do as they're instructed.

That has been my experience as well. Would be interesting to know if Encinia is substandard or simply having a bad day. Not that it makes any difference to Bland now.State Patrol aka Troopers are almost always the most professional LEO's in any state. They don't have that "not in my town!" attitude usually.

Screw training videos. The military does some very good training where some people pretend to be hajis and do everything short of crossing the line that will justify violence to provoke violence, the idea being that once one has learned to deal with the very worst behavior then reality should be comparatively easy. Obviously we need a few weeks of the same thing for cops.:biggrin:

It's not often I say this... but.... I don't see anything the officer did that was that out of line.
The cop repeatedly trolled her until he got what he wanted. She repeatedly did NOT "show her ass" to him until his fourth straight provocation troll, the sly bully. I don't think your brain is defective, I know how smart you are, so please look again in detail at the encounter.
