but SAT IIs which mattered twice as much in the UC system...
800 Writing
800 Math IIC
780 Chemistry
So sure my 1390 didn't stand out, but I got better admissions than a lot of 1400s, 1500s people.
SAT IIs FTW! ACT = east coast idiots

Get good grades, regardless of difficulty, and you can still go almost anywhere.

grades don't matter. test scores do.
i got 1520 on my sats and i got into everywhere i applied.... with a 2.7 gpa.
also, having a bitch-kicking essay helps... as do extracurricular activities.

Where did you apply, out of curiosity?

I applied to much harder schools with my 1530 and 3.0 unweighted, over 800 hours of community service.
Harvard
Princeton
Yale
Brown
Penn
Cornell
Stanford
Cal
UCLA
Northwestern
Vanderbilt
Thus why I expect 0/11
