Satalite Shapped Wifi Antenna On Engadget

Hi, A few months ago engadget had a story about a company making satalite dish shaped wifi antennas.

A company rather than home made devices.

Anyone have the link, ive tried but cant find it. Google comes up with loads of home made ones.

You mean dishes like 1.8, 3 and 6 meter, sectioned-style dishes??

PacWireless makes some great ones in the 3.5GHz and 5+GHz, not that large, but perhaps up to 1M or so IIRC, but those aren't really normal 'wifi' freqs (aside from 802.11a)

The dish size was 12" , yes inch, highly directional but surposed to be excellent for a weak signal.

A ton of companies make just about any antenna you would want. Keep in mind that with a dish you will have to have line of site to the AP radio and need precise aiming and mounting.
