Saving on a full kitchen remodel.....

I am going to need a stove frig hood vent dish washer. Can I save buying them all together. I figure the looks would be best all one brand, like kitchen aid architect series, for example. Can you buy a package deal? Looking for suggestions, thanks.

Usually yes. At times you can piece it together cheaper but sales will not be at the same time so you'll have to watch for longer. Easier just to get the full package. I got a samsung side by side fridge, dishwasher, gas stove, and over the range micro at hhgregg 2 years ago for under $2k

It's possible to get a discount buying an appliance suite, but feel like you have to if some of the pieces are mediocre or have terrible reviews

Yes you can get a package deal. If you go to an appliance store they usually have some type of deal like that. You can also look for rebates from the manufacturer. Of course when we remodeled our kitchen we went with different brands of appliances so none of that applied to us.

I think you'll do far better inquiring at a smaller appliance store than at a big box store. Box stores aren't too good about haggling on price - if it's on sale, it's on sale, otherwise it isn't. At a mom&pop appliance store, they'd probably be happy to make the exact same amount of profit selling you all of those items as they would selling you just 2 of those items.

Best Buy occasionally has sales where they stack discounts on each additional appliance bought. I've bought quite a few large appliances from them over the years and have almost always got my best prices from them over any other retailer.

For a nice mid-range line of appliances look at the Fridgidaire Gallery line. Good options & features without being overpriced. I've put those into my last two homes and have been very happy.

Thanks for the suggestions, all. The Samsung chef line has a gas stove with a wok ring which is something I would like but I didn't want Samsung but I guess not much is really made in the USA. Whatever stove I get I guess I will buy the refrigerator and dishwasher to match and maybe a range hood.

Not sure how you feel about refurbished, but Sears has two refurbished Samsung Chef ovens 35% discounted from normal pricing. Right now all of the Big Box places have it 10% off for President's Day sale.

Looks like you can get that Wok Ring seperately, so as not to pay a premium by ordering an oven that comes with it.

We just remodeled our kitchen and have a GE induction top, Samsung Refrigerator, Bosch Dishwasher and Electrolux oven. They are all black and they all look good together. Hard to tell they are different brands.

Was thinking about this one. I want at least one high BTU burner, but I may have to go outside and use LP on a 100,000 BTU portable to get the Wok He I want.
