What field are you in?
I'm an EMT and I hate getting patients with a DNR. It makes me feel useless, mostly because there isn't much I can do to ease their pain. I can't give any drugs or anything like that. All I can do is transport.
Seeing something like that must be hard.
Are EMT's allowed to give medications? When I was one we wern't allowed to give anything other than an epi-pen if a patient already had one.
Now I'm an Anesthesiologist and can give anything I want
EMT-P can (paramedic). I am just an EMT-B, so I can't. Well, I can give O2, and Nitrus if the pt has it, or epi pen.
Oh, don't forget Glucose or charcoal!
