I've been trying to install my CM Hyper 212 cooler on my CPU for about an hour now, and I'd officially like to kill whoever built this piece of shit.
Damn thing doesn't match it's own support brace, so I can't install it
At this point I'm seriously considering just throwing it out and going with the stock cooler.
Did you notice that you need to move the pins to the middle holes? It took me a few tries to get it right as well, but it definitely will work once you have it setup right. I had the cross brace on and off a few times before I got it.

Yeah I did that, but it looks like one of the screws is a bit crooked, so it doesn't fit right. The other 3 work as they should, but that 4th one is a pain.
Hmmm - that's what I bought for my upcoming build. Hopefully mine works. Its a very popular model and I haven't seen many (any) other complaints like yours so maybe its just bad luck.
Dropped my OC to 4.4 ghz @1.25v. Stable, temps stay nice and cool. I can't tell the difference between 4.4 and 4.8.

I cranked it up to 4.8 and it locks up from time to time gaming. Kind of annoying so I went down to 4.4. I've never seen the temp go higher than 41c. This HSF rocks!
Stable at 1.25?? I haven't played around with the voltages much. I just put 1.32 and 44 ratio. Is 1.32 too high for 4.4?
What temps are you getting at full load?
I've just been lowering the voltages tick by tick. I don't think 1.32 is too high; my temps are only -2c since dropping it to 1.25.
Full load is between 53 and 58c. I assume everyone else has that random, single core that runs hot?
I tried using their Gigabyte suggestions, but found it is no more stable, and just runs about 5-10 degrees hotter overall. I wouldn't recommend these suggestions.
So far, I'm 100% stable with i5-2500k @ 4.2Ghz with 1.325v set in BIOS (in Win7, it's telling me voltage is 1.35 though), on stock cooler
4.4Ghz gives me a BSOD either right after OS loads, or I fire up something that fully uses CPU.
Hopefully it'll do better once my Coolermaster 212 plus gets here.
I have it set to 1.8831 (or something like that) was told don't go over 1.9
I am curious, what are most of you getting, D1 or D2 stepping?
