scanner bulb

I have an IBM scanner it's a 0275-001. The bulb is shot and I can't find one. Everybody acts like I should just buy a new scanner. I paid $230 (ofcourse it was a few years ago) for this thing and now I should buy a new one because the bulb is shot???

Thats the easiest solution but try to see if a flashlight bulb will work, highly doubt it though.

Have you tried calling IBM support yet. They can usually get you parts for anything they have a name on.
