The only good thing about the dems taking control of the house is the stop on Bush's spending. If the Dems take control of everything...you can count on twice the social spending Bush had and way more taxes.
Exactly. People think Bush ran up a tab.....Try having Dems get the whole schebang. 200,00,000 million illegals suddenly get voter ID cards, free healthcare, subsidized housing and free education.
Guess whos going to pay for it?
Backup your claims before making ridiculous statements like that. Unless of course you enjoy having nobody on this board take you seriously.

The basic theme by the Republicans was to call Democrats 'tax and spend.' But during their time, the GOP was 'tax cut and spend.' All you need is elementary school-level arithmetic to figure out which one lead to out of control budgets.
Nevermind, I just looked at your post again. Elementary school math may be too advanced.

Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House
And not because she is a Democrat, but because she is a bullet and a heart attack away from the Presidency.

It better be the top earning 1% of the population, since they've been stuffing their pockets and offseas bank accounts with my money for the past 6 years. Oh, and they did it while the morons that they voted for every time the polls were open held the door open for the illegals. I mean, who would mow their lawns, if they didn't let them in?:roll:Originally posted by: Specop 007

You took the words right out of my mouth, Boomer. I'd rather look at Nancy Pelosi for 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, than have to look at Dennis Hastert for 5 minutes at a time, once a week.Originally posted by: Boomer
Oh? Then, you're "into" old fat men?
Give me Nancy Pelosi over Dennis Hastert ANYDAY...MUCH nicer legs...
I would remind you BOTH Parties have been running up the national debt every year for the past 20 years or more.
Since my country is getting sold to the highest bidder, I can at least take comfort in the fact I'm giving less of my money to the government selling me out cant I?

How much did the debt go up under Bill Clinton in 8 years and what happened to the deficit under him?
How much did the debt go up under an average 8 years under Reagan/Bush 41/Bush 43 and what happened to the deficit under them?
You do realize that George Bush has not given the nation one cent of a tax cut; he has only tax borrowed to transfer taxes until later with interest, a tax increase for the nation?

Sufficiently less then it did under the other Administrations you listed. But climbing debt is climbing debt. Dont increase my debt load by 1 million a year when the previous guy was doing it by 10 million a year and blow smoke up my ass and sunshine in my eyes about how your saving me money.

You mean the tax breaks wont be allowed to continue? The Dems will let it expire and raise taxes??
Say it aint so.

They'll nearly eliminate the Deficit in the process, something that should have been done already. Good policy.

I will say it again: No Democratic administration in history, including a Democratic Congress and/or a Democratic President, has spent more than Bush and his Congress, so save your paranoia for a time when it's needed and justified.
The bottom line is that Bush himself has never met a piece of pork legislation or a corporate entitlement program he didn't like. If you want a fiscally responsible government, stop electing brain-dead Presidents.
