I thought of this, but after reading 2 reviews where the Infinity fails to beat the ninja, I decided to go with something else and avoid the extra weight!

Or, get a case with a horizontal mobo tray!

WTF... it's call laying your tower case on its side.

Here's my experience thus far ... the system: Asus P5B-E, E6400 (not oc'd, yet), 2gb Patriot DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) ... etc. etc. in an Antec Performance II case... was running idle around 42-45c with the stock cooler and AS5. Now, on to the Infinity... the fit is tight no matter how you cut it! All temps noted were pulled using SpeedFan...

~ Initially I was going to mount this with the wide side running north / south... thus you'd have the fan on the interior side of the HS blow out toward the back of the case. Clearances looked good for the P5B-E until I added the clips with the push pins.... The caps to the left of the socket, toward the case backside, are in the way ... touching and possible crunch factor when push-pinning! So, mounting with wide side running east / west is the only option for this setup.
~ All's good but trying to push those pins in a built system can be a bit tricky! Aluminum fins are sharp too, but a little blood never hurt anyone! ;-) So push-pins done and fan mounted, have it blowing north, toward the PS... so might help suck some heat from the Evga 7900GTX that's just a bit below the fan... just using the stock fan that came with it for the moment. Seems to run quiet...
~ And now to put the power to it! Idle temp looks to be about 32-35c, excellent... PCMark06 runs it up to close to 50c with a 5922 score... Running Orthos now for the last 35 minutes and max temp has been 52c. And that should get better once the AS5 cures a bit...

Just my 2 cents...
ps: The weight isn't really too bad, I've used heavier and this seems to be a pretty solid mount....

I hope you are not getting this from the guys over @ silentpcreview

When they 1st compare the Ultra 120 in august against the Ninja they says the ultra 120 is the best ever tested and the new king!

Later when they review the 9500 LED, they say the best ever tested is the Ninja and that the 9500 LED comes close to the ninja's performance. However, the 9500 LED is better than the Ninja when running @ 12V
They reviewed the 9500 LED before the Ultra 120, and remember, SPCR is mostly concerned with performance at inaudible or low noise output.

My Infinity on an E6600 @ 2.66 (for now, I OC heavily only when I need to) idles at 27º and peaks at 38º or so under load. It was kind of a biatch to put in, but was a learning experience (I had a cast on my arm at the time). It feels very solid, and there's no fancy tying it to the case or anything like that, I just make sure to lay the tower on it's side when moving it in a car.

No problems with size on the P5W DH - the HSF clears everything nicely.

edit: idling at 23ºC now, but I'm in a 60ºF room

I must have ordered the Infinity from Newegg 3 or 4 times (order, cancel, order, cancel....)

I was also about the buy a Ninja plus somewhere else instead.....

In the end, I decided to go with the Thermalright Ultra 120 with a Panaflo Ultra fan (I have a fan controller in case it gets loud @ 2750 RPM)

$61 Shipped including Fan @ Bestbyteinc.com (never purchased from them before so we'll see how this turns out)

I've ordered from Bestbyteinc.com before they are a good place. Quick service, and good customer support too.

Get the infinity. Trust me. I bought one to go along with my p5b deluxe & E6600. The installation and mounting is VERY secure even though it may not seem like it. I am 100% confident that u would have to be a complete idiot to crack your mobo with the infinity. Unless ur throwing ur tower from one end of the room to another, i wouldnt worry one bit about the issue. With that said, i replaced the infinity's fan with a silverstone f121 fan and my temps dropped almost 20 degrees celcius...currently my e6600 is @ 3.4ghz and idles at 29 degrees, load 52 degrees. (btw thats when the fan is on max setting which can be a bit noisy).
