How is this e-rebate thing? Is it instant, or is it a hassle?

Nice deal. I might hop out and pick one up. THough, I wonder if there is any hope in another chance of a 400Gb for $99 without rebate soon.

I remember when $1995 was a good deal for 20 megabytes. Actually, I remember when $300 was good deal for an 8 inch 1.2 megabyte floppy drive.

Please post 'cause I'm not finding any at Outpost for those prices. The Seagate 250 is $129.99 there and the only sub-$100 I'm seeing is a Maxtor for $99.99 which is OOS.

I remember when (about) $100 (memory may be a bit off) was a good deal for a mouse that worked with an Apple IIc

If a drive is not at Outpost for the price you want, wait 3 to 7 days, and it usually will be.
300 gig $69.99
The above is not the best, but is an example. If you want longer warranty, wait a week, and the Seagate's should appear again. They seem to rotate the deals all the time between PATA and SATA.
Also, the Seagate 300GB SATA shows up as $79.99 shipped free, but when you add to cart price changes. Usually when that happens at Outpost they are updating web page, and after checking back to add later, it will show up at correct price (usually).
200GB SATA is $59.99 and Ships Free.
