Best Buy has the 300GB Seagate HDD for $178 in store plus theres a 10%off coupon to bring it down to $160 and then it also has $80 dollars in rebates an $50 and a $30 that you can print off line from BB website...when you buy it there it will be a $50 and a $20 that will print up in the store...Good Luck

In the past, Best Buy did not allow online rebates for B&M purchases, and vice-versa. (This applied to Best Buy rebates, not mfg's rebates).

so have you tried this deal? i don't see ymmv so I'm assuming the in-store price is national?
the 10% coupon will work on storage? and a rebate that states online only will work for a in-store purchase?

edit: according to fw. only a handful of stores has the $177 in-store price. and even less have accepted the 10% coupon on the hdd.

I went over to the other site and its definately YMMV, some BBs are $220 and some are $180 .

Its seems West Coast is the higher price East is the lower and mixed in the middle.



As far as the rebates go, trust me..give up the $10 and just use the printed in store rebates.


I am headed to BB now... $180 - 10% + tx and $70 in rebates = $105 OTD for me.


If its $220 then I am not buying unless they happen to have some SATAs...which I am
almost certain they dont even stock them.

Even if you use the regular store rebates, it is $.30 a gig Which is pretty hot. Anything under $.35/gig is worth going after.

I believe this drive is $200 at CompUSA ($150 AR), so if your local BB has it for $220, you can try to PM. $200 - $70 MIRs = $130 AR is a decent deal. Even better if you can get 10% off on top of the PM.

Hmmm, Well at Hartsdale, NY I brought one up to the register, first it rang up at $219, then the cashier said the 10% off coupon was not for computer accessories, so it was a NG for me

My neighbor who coaches competitive youth soccer (ranked #4 in the state) does video editting of the games, makes highlight clips and coaching videos, etc. She has probably over 400GB in video footage, Premiere files, etc.
