I?ve always gone with WD for my HDD?s but this time around I went with Seagate, don?t ask me why. But it bit me in the ass. After about 30 days of use it decided that it didn?t want the BIOS recognizing it anymore. Same deal with my other computer. I?ve tried using SeaTools to find the drive, no go. The drive still spins up but other than that nothing. Is anything else worth a try at this point?
Thankfully Newegg will refund me for the drive, even after their 30 day return policy on HDDs. I just purchased 2 WD 500GB SATA 32MB Cache drives (RAID 1) to replace this Seagate drive.
