I just went out and got the Samsung 753 DynaFlat monitor (17", 16" viewable; 1280 x 1024 max res.; 179.99 w/ rebate).
Got home, installed it. Now, something was not right to my eyes, for it seems in the top-left hand corner of the screen it appears to be much more blurrier and less brighter than other parts of the screen. You can notice this just by looking up occasionally at the menu bar and seeing that "File" and "Edit" are blurry, and consequently you have to re-adjust your eyes. I have the display at a 1024x768 (85mhz) res, and the problem is even more apparent with a 800x600 res, as you can tell that the desktop icons in the area of question are much grainier than the same icons I placed somewhere else on the screen. Now, would this be attributed to the monitor itself? Or possibly the video card (geforce2 MX, 32MB)?
I didn't have a problem like this on my previous monitors. Anyone else ever experience something like this?
Thanks!
