So last week on the 8th I purchased an ASUS P5W DH Deluxe from this site called etech4sale.com. Their site clearly said it was in stock so I ordered it. I called later the next day and the guy told me it was sold out and would be available later that week. On the 10th, I called again and was told that their shipment of the boards was delayed and wouldn't be receiving them in till today. So I call today and the guy tells me that they aren't going to be receiving the shipment of the boards until a week and a half to two weeks. So, I did the smart thing and cancelled my order. Don't get me wrong the site had the board at a very very good price at $230 compared to other sites selling them up to $280, but I just received my e6400 today and everything else for my rig ordered already and I don't want to be waiting another two weeks to use it just so I can get this motherboard.
I've been looking around on froogle and found that mwave.com supposedly is getting them in today, but what are the chances if one sites shipment was delayed when they were supposed to get it in today? I mean, even newegg has the ETA for their shipment of the board until next Monday. This board is getting to be very hard to get your hands on so I might just have to order a different one. Which brings me to my next subject.
What other motherboards are decent and easy to get ahold of that can overclock Conroe at a relatively decent level. I'm not an extreme overclocker or anything, but I might just overclock it a few mhz to get it up to par with the e6600 since I passed on that to get my computer earlier, but now I'm waiting on my motherboard. Is there anything wrong with the 965 chipset because if not I'll order the ASUS P5B and I was also looking at the DFI 975X/G which also looked good. I'm just wondering, if I wanted to order my motherboard this week and get it for under $250 dollars, which would you suggest I get?
I'm in a serious epidemic right now so if you could help, I would reall appreciate it!
