Yea, I tried to play SS2, but gave up half way through the 2nd mission. I'm obsessive about finding all the little secrets to get my score up, and just don't have the patient anymore I guess.

A lot of folks are complaining that the trailer has similarities in it to Mass Effect (the opening), CoD (the location/iron sights), MW2 (iron sights), Doom (couple of the monsters) and even Duke. It also seems that the video was created like that on purpose as satire.

When I watched the preview video, at least 1 of the monsters reminded me of something out of Doom II and the Final Doom.

Personally, I dont care if the developers used something out of Doom. It would be nice if someone brought back the classics.

Serious Sam 3: BFE is a glorious throwback to the golden age of first-person shooters where men were men, cover was for amateurs and pulling the trigger made things go boom.

What makes Serious Sam so different is that he doesn't believe in cover, you just hold the trigger down and blast everything in your path. Thats why I love this series of games.

IIRC, in a recent interview Croteam mentioned that there can be friendly fire and at 16 player coop they throw everything at you that they can.

Soooo looking forward to this. Loved 1st, and 2nd encounter. Played them to death especially at LAN parties. SS2 was OK. Hopefully SS3 will return to the quality of the original 2.
