Also, I've been trying to do something similar for the "Club Teams" stats so we can better compare our output versus other teams, but the seti club pages only update every few days... any ideas? Maybe a weekly?

Also, let me know of any bugs or ideas for feature enhancements.

The S@H team type stats have been messed up since May 1st, the way I collect the stats is do individual team lookup by team name (this is near realtime data) then sum the total of the entire team.

I only do a few surrounding team, but if you're writing scripts you could do the top 50 or what ever. Then we could spam the URL at all the other team forums and you'll get swamped being the only source for correct team stats

I didn't realize we had that many inactive users. Any way we can contact the inactive people and see if they'll turn the client back on? Even if only 25% of them were willing it would really help our production.

I use perl to grab the stats from the seti website every night, stuff 'em into an SQL database. Then, I create the page on the fly with php3.

Hellburner - I might just take you up on that. Shouldn't be all that hard to do.

Very shortly (maybe even tonight) I should have weekly stats available. I have a lot of ideas for enhancements - eventually I'd like to put in some averages per user, graphs and history of total team output, graph and history of # of active users, "best day" per user like rc5, etc, etc.

Robor - I agree with your idea on getting inactive users back. Looks like we've lost quite a few heavy hitters (Matthew Andersen, wintermute, ralphfj, Merle Corey, coffee freak, arlen - all with over 1000 WU's completed). Could also be used to tempt people to convert to Team Anandtech (want _REAL_ stats? gotta join TA - hehheh).

Office Boy - I'd _love_ to get some more historical data. CSV or | delimited. send 'em to nexus9 at mattzone dot com. I probably won't be able to load it up until after next week (gonna be away).

I've set up the weekly stats (actually only 6 days, until I get one more day of stats). Be patient - the weekly stuff is a little slower than I'd like (hey, the site's running on a 1993 vintage Sun LX that's about the speed of a 100Mhz 486 - needless to say, it's extremely CPU bound when doing sql queries). One of these days I'll get it moved to my 600Mhz Athlon box.

If the SQL-queries are CPU-bound, you might want to precompute the data, stuff it in a file and generate the page from that. No need to query the database every time if it only changes once a day.

That's what I do at http://seti.matroxusers.com/. For another reason BTW (the DB is on a different machine), but it could speed things up considerably.

I was thinking that if you could include a 7 day moving average of the daily production for each member on the daily stats...
