Setting up an external wireless bridge

Ok, here's the situation:
I am attempting to connect to buildings approximately 1,300 feet apart. I purchased two (2) Tranzeo Access Point Antenna's (6019's), but I'm not 100% sure how to set up the access points and router on the client side. Here is a "diagram"

Building 1 (internet access)
T1 line into building - hub - Linksys Router - Tranzeo AP

Building 2 (client)
Tranzeo AP - 3Com router - computers

Everything is working up to the Linksys Router, but I'm unsure what settings (ie. IP, DNS Resolutions, gateway, etc.) I should put in the two Tranzeo AP's and the 3com router. I believe it is accurate that I have to set both AP's to "bridge" mode, but I want to verify that as well.

Can anyone help me out or have any good links that explain the settings for ignorant wireless people? Thanks!

The only reason you need IP's on a bridge, or ap for that matter, is to configure. Data going across a wireless link don't care a bit about the IP of the bridge. So gateway or DNS wouldn't be relevant unless you had them on odd subnets and/or were using a host name on the bridge to configure it remotely.

Anyway, is there a reason you need the 3Com router to route? How many users are in Building 2? If there are only a few then don't use that to route. You'd just need the switch on it, or if the clients are wireless clients, the AP. If you want to segment building two then both routers will need to support a routing protocol other than NAT. RIP, RIP2, OSPF etc..

Yes, bridges is what they need to be setup as but without knowing that hardware, or more accurately, it's software, I would just be guessing at variables on the Tranzeos. There are point to point links, point to multipoint, bridging might be a workgroup bridge function on that GUI's. Do you have a link light on the ethernet connection on the AP/Bridges? Or at least the switch port, to tell if you have ethernet connectivity. You might have to use a X-over if not.

Ok, that makes sense. Maybe I had the settings wrong on them. I'll check it out this evening.

There will be no more than 2 or 3 computers using the 3com router so I guess just using it as a switch is all I need. I'm not extremely familiar with the difference between a switch and a router. If I set the 3com router to just act as a switch, will I not have to change the settings? It should just work automatically?
