I am running RealTemp with the default settings, so the TJ Max is set at 99, which I understand is the TJ Max for my I5, 760. The idle calibration is at 0.0, also the default. I don't really understand how to calibrate RealTemp, and wonder if it's really necessary to do so.
My idle temps are: 41c 37c 41c 37c
I am using the Intel cooler shipped with the cpu. I plan to replace that as fast as NewEgg can ship, lol.
I ran the MS FSX game for an hour or so and temps got to about 62c.
My question really is: Are the temps reported in RealTemp close to accurate? If so, my temps seem to be all right. In the past month or so though, I have had 2-3 instances of thermal shutdown while in this game, but was not monitoring temps at that time and the ambient temp was higher.
