My front tires wear way too quickly and always on the inside. Up until the past year, I've been pretty good about getting alignments and nothing was ever completely out of whack. Could this be my struts/springs? I know that usually that cups tires, but I'm not sure what else it could be.

Looks like the camber is out of spec. An alignment should fix that up assuming you've got camber adjustments, if not some suspension bits will require replacement.........however my IS-350 and a previously owned Audi S4 did pretty much the same to a slightly lesser degree even though the camber on both cars never went out of spec.

It does look like Camber but Toe could contribute to that also.

Can you rotate those tires on the same side of the car i.e. front to rear or vice versa?

You say you've had the alignment checked. Same shop? Their equipment could be messed up.

Are those the stock sized tires for the car? If you're running wider rubber, you may want to have less negative Camber - as was said, if possible.

What happens if you run regular street tires instead of pseudo race rubber?

Lastly the lecture. That tire is dangerous to be driving on in every respect. It should have been replaced long before the steel belt was showing.

If you've been taking it to the same place over and over again for alignments I'd try a new place. There's something wrong and if they keep telling you its fine they're missing it.

Also, I agree with boomerang. That tire is dangerous and you're lucky that it didn't cause an accident. With a tire that bad I wouldn't even put it back on the car to drive over to the tire shop.

sounds like your toe is out of spec

toe will wear your tires a lot quicker than camber

I run -3 up front and -2 in the rear, if you think you ran a lot of camber
