You and your High School level wisdom have a lot of maturing to do . Though your main concern may be her physical appeal to you, there are ways to go about suggesting a change that don't come right out and say "you're fat, you need to work out." Things like you taking an interest in working out and having her come with you. Maybe you change your diet, and offer it to her. The thing about women is that they (as we are too) are very insecure things. They need to feel acceptance and support in everything they do. Funny, I sort of have the opposite problem.

Generally speaking, I'm in good shape but each time I had a baby, I gained weight and had to really work hard to get back into shape again.

I can always tell when I am really back in 'fighting shape' because the Mister will not leave me alone. He's ALWAYS much nicer and caring when I am trim, and ALWAYS much more contemptuous when I am still recovering from pregnancy/childbirth/lactation. When I am the most vulnerable and need his kindness and understanding most, he is the most insensitive. When I can wear a bikini with no shame is when he falls over himself to try to get along with me.

The end result of this is that I find myself having sexual dreams and fantasies about other men. Overweight balding men no less.
