Just when you think you can't see any more idiocy coming from the Democrats in Wisconsin, take a look at this display of civility. They are all wearing red (orange?) t-shirts chanting SHAME and acting like a bunch of morons shouting incoherently. I don't think I've ever seen such a shameful display from elected officials in my lifetime.

What are these people going to do when Walker starts actually CUTTING government employees? The left is seriously becoming unhinged here. I honestly think Scott Walker and other Republican legislators in WI are at serious risk from this type of hateful rhetoric.

Just imagine the civil unrest if the Politicians hadn't bought complacency by extending out Unemployment twice...

It passed assembly today. The State Troopers will catch one of them going back to their house and this will all be over.

Exactly how is this different from the recent GOP use of the filibuster in the US Senate.
I am not sure about Wisconsin, but as dems walk out of the Indian legislature in 2011, they are simply aping GOP walkouts in the Indiana legislature in 1975, 1991, and 2001. With the 2001 walkout led by the same Brian Bosma calling the dems dirty names.

Walker seems to be the Kaddafi version of State Governors, as one man's version of shame is another man's version of honorable protest. And if the fight is not dirty enough, wait till the courts jump in. Can a Wisconsin State policeman really arrest a law abiding Wisconsin legislator?

They were chanting shame as the republicans held the vote open for only a few seconds, preventing the majority of the democrats from voting. The shame was in response to that.

The debate in the Assembly appeared to be a few hours away from ending when Speaker Pro Tem Bill Kramer interrupted their speeches and called the vote. It was gaveled in with lightning speed, less than the standard 15 seconds -- it was so fast that 28 members did not even vote on it, some out of protest but some failing to reach their buzzers. There were 51 ayes and 17 nays, and the nays included Republicans Dean Kaufert, Lee Nerison, Richard Spanbauer, and Travis Tranel.
Oh boo hoo so the big bad republicans didn't let you vote, that's no reason to start acting like babies! I guess your voters will know better than to vote Dumbercrat next time!

If the Dems do not come back to the Senate; the State will have to issue layoffs.

With each of the layoff notices; there should be a sticky - Due to lack of a budget.

I generally support Walker and the Wisconsin Pubbies, but not in this vote. Votes need to be scheduled at least a day in advance and kept open for a reasonable time (at least one minute!) to allow everyone to be there and vote - in effect, to do their job. No Congressman or Senator can be there every minute they are in session.

The Democrats' behavior is very hypocritical given what their colleagues in the state senate are doing, but they have a point. This was shameful.

They should have a recall election. What Walker is doing will set Wisconsin back a half a century for worker's rights.

lol, no it won't. What it will do is allow local gov'ts the flexibility to maintain their own budgets. But keep thinking that Walker should be recalled - it's hilarious when you twits keep clamoring for it. He's done nothing yet - it's a legislative bill - not an executive order.

I agree with your point in general, but in this case there were extenuating circumstances. The Democrats chose to delay the vote with their antics. They were not interested in actually getting anything accomplished other than delaying the vote.

As Chris Rock once said about O.J. Simpson, "I don't agree with what he did, but I understand."

I think that the Repubs have opened a can of worms here that will come back to bite them. I'm sure the Dems are just outraged that they didn't think of this first.

Are you on some sort of medication or something? How does dressing up and chanting 'Shame' and shouting incoherently even remotely relate to a filibuster? Are you some kind of bot that just spouts out Democrat talking points regardless of the topic?

The point is, it costs these Democrat's nothing. They're doing it for the attention it's going to get them with their base, and because it buys them time to work out whatever strategery they need to work out/set in motion.

The Democratic senators are in session ANY minute of ANY day lately. This was completely warranted given the tendency of the Democrats to Fleebag the state any time a vote is called. The Dems have been wasting DAYS and DAYS arguing about this. They knew damn well what was happening.
