Didn't find it funny at all. Actors and directors go round and round about phrases and tone. That's why one is an actor and the other is a director. This type of thing happens all the time. Its called: Doing it until it is right, which is the directors call.

Hah, no. It's called not respecting the vastly senior talent and ability of the person in front of you, and getting smacked down like the know-it-all twit you are. You can't say Shatner didn't understand the guy's vision, or whatever. He absolutely nailed the tone and pacing of what Mr. Producer guy asked for, and in the process showed that Mr. Producer guy didn't have a clue what he was asking for.

I don't see how he could have been more destroyed. He was ground into the floor tiles. He was instantly turned into one of those stories people talk about over dinner and drinks at conventions. He is now the guy who tried to tell William Shatner how to do a voiceover.
