Should I be worried?

1. My old EVGA9800GX2 bit the dust. Got some crashes during playing a non intense game (Battlefield Heros) and then it wouldn't load into MW2 or BF:BC2. Then video artifacts started being displayed at bios screen (green or blue[cant remember color] vertical lines. I figured the card just died like it once had.

2. Put in a 7600GS and it worked fine so I was assured that it was the card.

4. Installed card and latest graphics drivers.

I just noticed the other day. I went to go boot my computer after it rested all night off. I clicked the power button, fans turn on, lights turn on but i get no POST beep. The system usually gives me a 1 Post beep. There was also no video being displayed. I then tried hitting the reset button but nothing happened. I then pressed the power button and the system immediately shut down. I then pressed the power button again to turn on the system and it booted fine. Today the same thing happened after being off all night, except that the video card went to Max fan RPM which was really loud, usually doesn't go to max and POST at all. The system just sat there with no video displayed and Video Card Fan at max until i hit power button, at which point the system turned off. I then power up just fine.

Should I be worried?
-Video Card problem?
-Power Supply Problem?
What do you guys think?

With a system like that, you could have an issue in a bunch of different places. For example, 12gb of ram is asking for a problem with them (not really, but having that many sticks does mean that your chance of having a bad stick a little more).

Make sure the fan on the PSU isn't bad. Not positive of which psu you're using, but ive heard of some fan issues with the PSU....if that were the case though, you would probably notice issues when you're pushing the comp, not when its idle.


I would honestly go like normal, see if it does it again. If it does, take your comp down to barebones (OS drive, 1 stick of ram), and see if it can go for a while. Then slowly add things in.
