Okay, I've always known that cell phone usage has always been a flame-bait topic on AT, but I didn't quite expect this response. I think I've always been a polite person. I get out of the left lane on the freeway if someone wants to pass. If a girl is walking alone along a sidewalk and I'm coming up behind her, I'll either slow down so I don't get to close, or I'll walk quickly to pass her so it doesn't look like I'm following her. I've even bitched at my girlfriend for belittling someone she knows. So yes, I think it was pretty considerate of me to walk outside a fast-food joint to talk on the phone. It's not like I was right next to him. Whatever "noise" I was causing was a lot less than a group at the table next to him talking.
As for people saying there was nothing threatening about what this guy did, isn't someone saying "Get the F@#K out of here" and picking up a cane and walking towards you sort of "threatening"? Or is it threatening only if he'd taken a swing at me? Maybe there wasn't either technically illegal about what he did, but as I said before, I didn't expect the police to actually go out in search of this guy. But, if in the future something happens that does involve this guy, wouldn't it be better if they'd known that this guy >might< be dangerous? If I was personally worried about myself, I wouldn't have stood my ground and jawed back at the guy.
