Shuttle sn95g5 or a ps2?

I need help on this decision. I was either thinking of getting the shuttle sn95g5 case and getting a head start on my rig but wont be done probably till end of neat year or buy a ps2 so i can play gran turismo 4 since i dont have one. What you guys think I should go for?

Nope, there are no good, working PS2 Emulators for the PC.

The Shuttle case isn't worth it unless you are willing to also invest in the following items:

Socket 939 Athlon64 CPU
2x DIMMS (at least DDR400)
Single-Slit AGP video card (No 6800Ultras... 6800 vanilla or 6800GT are okay, all ATIs are OK)
Black DVD/CD drive

If you are, I say yes, get the Shuttle case. I just got one with an Athlon64 3500+ CPU, a WD Raptor 10k drive, and a Radeon 9800Pro (A carryover from my last system), and this thing SCREAMS.

i plan on getting 1 corsair xms ram, 250 gig western digital drive, a64 3500+ already got a x800 xt pe to put in it.

Neither! I would say by all means purchase the shuttle, but to wait a year to finish it is absurd! Prices will plummet come next year, and new technology will take over. The PS2 will be replaced very shortly, and it is not a wise invenstment to buy it at such a time

well if i wait for a pci express shuttle then ill have to get a new card. I want something for a lan machine that doesn't weight 65 pds.

but listen to yourself... you are contradicting yourself... you want a lan machine now.. yet you will finish this in a year... it doesnt add up..if you want a lan machine in a year... buy it then.. it willl be lighter, more powerful, more cool, easier to transport, more reliable, and more advanced.

I gotta agree with Mosad on this one, Uh Oh.

Right now, all you have is an x800 vid card (which is a great vid card, BTW... especially on HL2 engine). The Shuttle SN95G5 is worthless without a P939 processor and 2-sticks of RAM. If the processor and RAM are future purchases, hold off until you have money for them. If you buy the case now, it will just sit and collect dust until you can put a processor in it.

so get the gift later... unless of course you believe that a fat man slides down your chimney to deliver the present.... or perhaps if your parents insist on you believing this... ask for money perhaps... but do not build it piece by piece when you dont yet have a processesor nor any RAM... it is worthless, as mentioned above... trust us
