... so I bought a used SN95G5 a couple of months ago. Had a couple of driver bugs, but now it's working properly except for two things:
1. I bought a parallel to USB printer cable since it doesnt have a parallel port. Cant get that to work. Miss my laser printer. WinXP SP2... doesnt auto recognize it.
2. This is the stupid one that I thought one of you could help with - I put a black Samsung DVDRW drive in it. The exterior of the case has a 5.25 bay with a fold down door and a button attached to a lever that is supposed to depress the drive's eject button... only it doesn't. The cheap plastic arm inside the case just folds backwards (resistance is > the arm's strength). I've tried all kinds of rig jobs to reinforce the arm, but I can't create enough force to trigger the drive's eject. As a result, I have to jam a pen/paperclip in there or use the eject feature in Windows MP. The arm itself isnt really designed to be replaced. It's hard to get to and it's attached awkwardly.
Any ideas?
