Shuttle XPCs at MicroCenter

I stopped by my local MicrCenter (Fairfax, VA) yesterday and discovered that they now carry those tiny XPCs from Shuttle. They had one of the originals (SV24 or SV25, can't remember), the new SS51G, and one that I believe was the SS40 (AMD, no AGP, ... it had the heatpipe cooling solution). Prices were as low as $239, but the SS51G went for $359. The third (AMD?) model did not have a price. I could not find these items on the website. :/

You really cannot imagine how small these are until you pick one up with your hand. Amazing. I just need to hold out for an NForce2 model with an AGP slot ...

A very nice little machine, especially if you are student.

The SS40 normally retails for anything above $315 or so, barebones.

Newegg has the SV24 with an 800mhz Via proc for $175 shipped. I think that pretty Hot.

i was at fry's yesterday and they have the ss51g for $309.

i'm not sure they actually had any in stock, but the tag was there. i was surprised because they sell the ss50 also and the ss50 was $329 and there was plenty of that in stock.


im not sure if they were just putting the tags up and hadnt actually stocked it, but the tag said $309.


you norcaller are lucky you guys got the $99 celeron 1.7 mv42n deal, that hasnt gotten down here yet.
