I am sitting here unable to sleep because of my allergies. My kids are gone for the night, and I am stuck at home sick. So I figured I would check and see who else is having an exciting night like me. I'm 22, it's a friday night, I'm 15 minutes away from the largest college in Iowa and I'm sitting at home trying to nurse a sick hard drive back to health.

Yeah well, I'm 19. I had kids from 9am this morning until 11:20pm t'nite. Good thing I'm getting paid for it, otherwise I'd have went insane. I have two jobs and they both suck.. I end up working right around 70 hours a week and have maybe two friends in the whole world that live atleast a two hour drive away from me. My car is horrible and every block I pass.. I wonder if it'll be the next block it dies at. I live in Lansing Michigan.. about 15 minutes away from MSU campus. Haven't ran into anyone around here that I actually like to hang out with or otherwise in the past year.. not to mention I'm completely broke. How's that for a pitty party? not very good I know

Hey Russ the highlight off my week was pulling a dead PC off the floor only to find it had a dent and a boot print in the side of the case. And they wondered why it didn't run?

Well I only really watch one kid during the day.. A 16 month old little girl and boy is she a doll. Amazing how much the learn just on a daily basis, she's starting to pick up sign language. The other I take care of is Mentally handicap.. a 32 year old Adult. Which suprisingly isn't very hard at all compared to what I expected it to be. Then this evening I watched a 4 year old little boy as well, have never met him before but turned out to be very well behaved. One day I will have my own, but until then I expect to be paid for watching them. I don't make very much at all, but it keeps me happy and I have alot of fun with them. So well worth a growing experience.

Well Thank you Fathom. I guess I don't really look at it that way. I mean, it's here.. I get paid every week.. it gives me a place to live a couple hours away from my entire family.. The only rules I have are the rules I set.. I can basically do anything I want so long as I'm here during the day while everyone else is at work. Between that and along with my lowly.. hole in the wall.. pizza job, I suppose it'll give me time to save up a little bit of money to buy a new car in a couple of months and give me the oportunity to check new things out. Maybe take a couple college courses and LCC or something. Who knows.. I just think it's the right position for me to be in until I make some definate decisions about my life from here on out. Until then, I will be perfectly happy making less then minimum wage to feel like I'm a part of something.
Ohh btw.. and it sucks to know that all of Michigan is the same way, though if things were any different.. sheesh - I'd have too much fun.

Well Fathom, when you look like I do, you get alot of offers. I have to beat them off with a stick at times, but that's usually cause they are touching my Twinkies!
