I'll try your mic suggestion too, Aikouka. I had a die-hard Android-supporting friend of mine do the same thing Friday after I got it and it didn't work at all. It just kept saying "I'm sorry, I can't understand you" over and over again. He just handed the phone back to me and laughed.

k, here's some other stuff on siri:

If Siri knows who you are, it can use your information to help you. To make sure Siri knows who you are, select your contact information in Settings > General > Siri > My Info.

Your information is used for questions like “How do I get home?” or “What good restaurants are near work?”

How does Siri learn about my key relationships?

Siri also helps you by learning about the key people in your life. The first time you ask Siri to call your sister, it will ask you who your sister is. That information is stored in Contacts along with other relationship information like “mom,” “husband,” and “grandma.”

I had Siri add an appointment for me when I left work (to remind myself that I need to get my ass up early (for me) tomorrow):

"Add appointment at 850 AM tomorrow in room..."

I think I had to fix the room because it only listed "conference", but maybe that was just an abbreviation. I didn't really look that hard as it's pretty easy to fix stuff.

The only bad thing is that it set some ridiculously long duration.

It's working better than I had anticipated, it is getting more accurate with time. Evidently I'm teaching it how to understand redneck. I wonder if that was in Apple's list of dialects.

Is there a way to get Siri on an iPad? I have it on my iPhone but would love to have it on the iPad also.
