SLI and dual monitors..

I've read a while ago that SLI had problems with dual monitors... does that problem still exist?

You cannot use SLI and Dual Monitors. I think that you can use more then one monitor for regular work, just that for gaming the other monitors get disabled. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't know why you wouldn't be able to use two monitors with SLi...but I can't give you any evidence for that. We'll have to wait for a personal testimonial from someone who has done it.

no no, i didn't say anything about gaming. I just want to be sure that i can have more than one monitor for my regular work stuff like I am now. But for gaming, it's always on one monitor but the secondary monitor just shows the desktop.

I was just wondering if this is still possible since when SLI came out, I heard there were problems with it.

You cannot have SLi enabled and use 2 monitors at the same time. You can disable it and use both cards for separate monitors, if you like, but that's the only way it's going to work at this time.

when using 2 different cards for dual displays does nview work just as it would for 1 card? meaning does spanning and such features still work?

Is it possible to use 2 cards in sli to drive one display and then another (probably some crap pci) card to drive the second display?
