SLI AND FATAL ERRORS

Sup guys and gals

Need your help I just recently got the new Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe and dual Leadtek PX6600 gt TDH Extreme Versions and I'm expreinceing a ton of Fatal Errors. I want people tell me if they been getting any kind of Fatal Errors with there new nforce 4 with sli on.

I think its something to do with the SLI/Video cards. Every time I would install all the software that came with the Winfast PX 66000gt tdh extreme version I would soon start getting video cards at random times well running windows then durning boot up of windows. So I recently reformatted and this time just installed the nvidia drives from the nvidia site thats it. So every thing was fine untill I went into msconfig and unchecking: nwiz and some thing else but not NvCpl because that loads your settings for your nvidia card which I was overclocking or anything any ways. So the next time I rebooted I got a Fatal Error so the system rebooted then it did it again then again so I held down the Ctrl key and it booted up just fine.

Well I thougth since I got into windows things were just fine untill I rebooted again and started to get Fatal Errors some more. So once again I had to hold down Ctrl to get back into windows. Next I enabled the start up times that orignal disable then rebooted and nothing still get Fatal Errors durning boot and I still have to hold down Ctrl to get back into windows.

O by the way when you hold down Ctrl it resets the nvidia drives. I don't know why it works and gets me back into windows because I havn't done any kind of oeverclocking or even messed with my card settings.

Viper96720 if I do this and it fixes the problem couldn't there 2 reasons why its fixed? Like couldn't it be the motherboard is jacked on the SLI or the other reason is that one of the video cards is jacked or crap couldn't even be a 3rd and 1 of the cards be a different reversion? O there couild be a fourth reason maybe when sli is enabled its so sensitive at running together that if I disable part of the drivers it would make the two video cards not run perfect together?

Most of the time its hard to get a half working video card and stuff you know so I was thinking even if the problem did go away if I just had one in it could be the motherboard that can run them right because God knows that motherboards are so easy to get jacked up or just came with flaws in it. then a video card you know?

Checked out the card and noticed it's a factory overclocked version 550/560. Try clocking it down to normal 6600GT speeds.
500/500 core and memory.

RGR let me give that a try. Man I just hope its something that I can fix here because I bought all my parts of the internet and its a pain to return crap.

I was thinking maybe since it's oc maybe it's ok as a single card but sli makes some kind of difference.

I'm assuming your memory is ok? Since the could cause errors if set wrong or bad memory.

Did the package the cards came in indicate that they were SLI capable. I have heard where not all PCIe cards are SLI capable even if they have the "golden fingers" on the top.

He is very happy with the system, its stability, and speed, definitely it's the top and the fastest system he's ever had or for anyone to have for that matter. Currently he is running the system with only 2 Gig of RAM showing and with the cards SLI turned OFF and using only (1) 6800 card. The only regret he has is that he bought the extra video card ($399) and the extra 2 Gig of RAM ($465) and until Asus comes up with a cure to rectify this problem he spent almost $900 dollars with what the specifications stated could be done with this motherboard and set up.

Ya, I'd be happy too with half the ram and video working. What people do to brag about their 3dmark scores...
